Hunting (WMU 67)

How many of you are tired of staying in cold, leaky tents & trailers during the deer season? Slugging it out for miles during the day and returning to a miserable camp at night, exhausted and empty handed.

We all have fond memories of past deer hunting seasons. But as we get older and hopefully wiser, we long for a little more comfort that could actually make for a very pleasant experience.

At The Bing Retreat, you and your group will be staying in luxurious accommodations with fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor BBQ. We offer countless amenities in your surroundings such as satellite TV, wood burning fireplaces and we actually supply the best and driest firewood on the planet! Check out the rest of the site for more accommodation information and interior photos.

Your group will have access to a large tract of private and crown land and will be provided with a detailed map showing the best deer watch locations... many of which are located on or close to ATV trails. Upon your arrival, you will be given a comprehensive orientation to familiarize yourself with the surroundings... as well as a strategy session to optimize your success.

While staying here, you can also try the fishing in one of Ontario's premier trout fishing lakes... right in front of where you're staying! Remember to apply for the MNR doe tag draw in WMU 67.

We also have excellant opprtunities for bow hunters and black powder enthusiasts during those seasons. Some have come from as far away as Great Britain and Australia to enjoy our location.

During recent years, we have seen more deer at The Bing and on the surrounding properties due to improvements to the deer habitat. We have made extensive clearings in several areas and planted them with alfalfa and white clover. We also feed the deer during the winter... and by doing so, the deer will be more likely to "Hang Around" throughout the year.
